The FDOT Source Book
The Source Book’s inputs include historic data from vehicle probes,
permanent and temporary count sites, and FDOT’s Roadway Characteristics
Inventory. Measures were developed incorporating methodologies that stem
from decades of research.
The following bi-directional measures are available at a segment level:
Annual Average Daily Traffic (Daily)
Average Travel Speed (Peak Hour, Peak Period)
Vehicle Hours of Delay per Mile (Peak Hour, Daily, Yearly)
Person Hours of Delay per Mile (Peak Hour, Daily, Yearly)
Weekday Planning Time Index (Peak Hour, Daily, Peak Period)
Level of Travel Time Reliability (AM Peak, Mid-day, PM Peak, Weekend,
Maximum)
Average Speed vs. Posted Speed Limit (Peak Hour)
Vehicles per Lane (Peak Hour)
Combination Truck Average Speed (Peak Hour)
Combination Truck Hours Delay per Mile (Daily)
Combination Truck Planning Time Index (Peak Hour, Daily, Peak
Period)
Combination Truck Miles Traveled (Daily)
Combination Truck Cost of Delay per Mile (Yearly)
Use the layer control button on the top right to select the performance
measure and reporting period. Click on a roadway segment within the map
to view its selected performance measure. Shapefiles for segments and
counties are available for download.
